Foundations & Motifs

• Each exhibit section will emphasize the “Kentucky-ness” of each story
• Environmental motifs representing horse locales throughout Kentucky will populate the exhibit
• Icons or representations of various horse breeds will be used as consistent design elements throughout the exhibit to aid in storytelling
• Each exhibit section will lead with a contemporary story
• Popular horse phrases, horse statistics, and factoids will be recurring elements in the exhibit
• Where possible, the role of business and government will be included to add depth to the stories
• Montage elements showing horses in daily life will be used throughout
• Exhibit content will adhere to Kentucky Educational Curriculum standards
